The two pie charts illustrate the main sources of energy which used in the USA in the 1980s and 1990s. Oil is a significant item of energy both in 1980s and 1990s. In 1980s, it spending 42% and spending 33% in 1980s and 1990s in the USA. Compare to 1990s, they spent more than 9% in the 1980s in the energy of oil. The source of oil still has the dominate status in all kinds of energy in the both of the two years. The sources of nature gas are quite similar in both years. It just decreases only 1% in the 1990s. And, the source of coal just decreases 5% in the 1990s. On the other hand, it seems that the amount of the nuclear power increases 5%, accounting for 10%, in 1990s in the USA. The exploitation of the natural source of coal accounts for 27% in the 1990s, playing a much important role than the utilization of the coal in the 1980s. In the consumption of the hydroelectric power, two eras have the same amount of percentage of 5%.
